JULY 2013

The BIGGEST NEWS in 2013 for FIVE STAR is that we conceptualized, capitalized and launched the new division.  It has been a painstaking process connecting with artisan suppliers, taste testing hundreds of coffees and other food products, designing three websites and setting up our prototype packaging and shipping facilities.

APRIL 2014

Here we go again!  The SCAA returns to the USA COFFEE MECCA in Seattle on April 24-27.  More details forthcoming in December when registration begins.

NOVEMBER 2014, CHARLOTTE, NC:

In November, Five Star Coffee participated in the Southern Women’s Christmas Show in Charlotte. Seasonal flavored coffees (Red Velvet Cake, Highlander Grog and Georgia Pecan) were featured. This annual gift buying event is in its 48th year and attracts approximately 100,000 persons mostly from the Carolinas.

DECEMBER 2014, PEACHTREE CITY, GA :

In December, Five Star Coffee set-up a Holiday gift store in WORLD GYM on Highway 74.  We served free samples of our small batch coffees to all members over a two day period and promoted our super healthy organic oatmeals and coffee gift boxes.  Our gourmet pancake mixes and 100% Vermont Maple Syrup were very popular for those holiday breakfast events…one member purchased seven pounds of apple cinnamon, buttermilk, oat bran and pumpkin spice pancake mixes.

JANUARY 2015, PEACHTREE CITY, GA:

For the first time, gourmet coffee was served at the big January Peachtree City Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at McIntosh High School. Our mild mannered, Five Star Mocha Java was the regular brew and our hearty Viennese Blend was the decaf choice. A record number of cups were served and enjoyed! The Peachtree City Kiwanis Club uses the funds raised from the breakfast for many worthy community projects.

JANUARY 2015, SPARTANBURG, SC:

Five Star Coffee was invited to the South Carolina Alumni Association’s Winter Workshop at UPSTATE South Carolina University in Spartanburg, SC.  We were asked to make a presentation on how our coffee samplers can be used for donor gifting and fundraising.  We also had the opportunity to serve two popular Five Star Coffees (Georgia Pecan and Orleans Reserve) to attendees.  They savored these two exceptional brews like fine wine!

FEBRUARY 2015, ATLANTA, GA:

In February, the Five Star Coffee team will attend the CoffeeFest Trade Show event at the Cobb Galleria Centre.  Equipment suppliers to gourmet coffee shops and small batch roasters are the mainstream exhibitors.  This is a good show for staying in the forefront of emerging trends and meeting some of the world’s best coffee roasters.  The show also features latte art and barista competitions, cupping classes and roasting workshops.

APRIL 2015, SEATTLE, WA:

The SCAA Show is the largest and most esteemed specialty coffee show in the US.  It will be held in Seattle, WA in 2015 at the Washington State Convention Centre.  Approximately 12,000 attendees and exhibitors are expected this year.  This is the BIG SHOW for coffee roasting equipment, coffee roasters and specialty coffee shop retailers.
